This week's featured home in the Design Focus series is our Redcliffe modular home design

The Redcliffe is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home that's ideal as a holiday home or family residence on a larger block.

The Redcliffe's main points of difference are its long, narrow design, bedrooms at either end of the home for privacy, and large amount of natural light throughout.Redcliffe_image_1.jpg

The Redcliffe has two generously sized bedrooms, one at either end of the house, giving you great privacy. This makes the design ideal as a holiday home for two couples to use, or for a family where the kids can be at one end of the home with mum and dad at the other.

Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes and the main bedroom (shown at the right hand side of the floorplan) has an ensuite.

The bedrooms are well-sized and could each accommodate a double bed comfortably.

Both bedrooms have a sliding door that leads onto the optional external decking, and which allows lots of natural light - ideal for waking up to a breathtaking view of the sea or countryside.

Bathroom, Toilets, and Laundry

A bathroom at each end of the home is great for providing bathroom access for both bedrooms.

The laundry is situated between the living room and second bathroom to enable quick access, and the laundry also provides a back door to the optional 2.4m decking at the rear of the home. Each bathroom has its own shower and toilet for added convenience.

The exterior of the Recliffe comes with our popular Cubehaus façade as standard, which can easily be customised with one of our many other façade options if desired.

An optional 1.8m wide verandah runs the full width of the front of the home and around both sides, providing an attractive addition to the front of the home.

There's an optional 2.4m decking area at the rear, which is ideal for entertaining or enjoying the sun on a warm summer's day.

Kitchen, Living & Dining Area

The Redcliffe's living and dining area has a spacious, open plan design in the heart of the home, with the meals and kitchen area blending seamlessly into the living area.

An island bench provides additional space for the chef in the family. Large floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors ensure plenty of natural light, providing passive heating in the cooler months.

Other Notable Features

  • The long, narrow design makes the Redcliffe modular home design suitable for long narrow blocks
  • While we've talked about the "front" and "rear" of the home in this article, for a thin block (or to take advantage of a great view) either side of the home could also function as the front facing portion of the home
  • For the base price of this design please download our current pricing list for the most up to date information.

Bottom Line

The Redcliffe is a modern, light-filled modular home that’s ideal as a  holiday home or small family residence on a narrow block. Its many windows make it ideal for taking advantage of a stunning view, and for saving money on energy by having passive heating in the cooler months.
