Project Focus: Beautiful 4-Bedroom Beach House in Rye, Victoria

Written by Alana McNab | September 21, 2018

In our latest Project Focus article, we’re sharing a beautiful and stylish beach house located in Rye on the Mornington Peninsula. The Shoreham 19 design was the perfect fit for our clients, who were looking for a spacious and modern design for their holiday rental.

The design is ideally suited to the block and surrounds, and some well-chosen upgrades have further elevated the home to something special. This is what the home owners have to say about their completed home-

With just the right blend of luxury and comfort, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy sunny days and the sound of the ocean. Read on to discover all the features and highlights.

Living Area

With 9ft ceilings included throughout the home, every room feels spacious, especially the living area. The sense of space is further enhanced by the bright colour scheme and large picture windows that have been ideally positioned to face north.

Sliding doors open out onto the decking and alfresco from both the living and dining zones, which creates a nice flow between the indoors and out.

The flooring is hard-wearing vinyl planks, which are easy to clean and maintain and great for homes in coastal locations. The living zone also includes some clever upgrades, including an inbuilt fireplace and television, feature pendant light and louvre windows to let the afternoon sea breezes in.

Kitchen

A highlight of the stylish kitchen is the Caesarstone island bench, with waterfall edge and feature pendant lighting. The dark colour scheme contrasts perfectly with the bright, clean feel of the home and makes an impressive statement. The kitchen also includes a large walk-in butler’s pantry, which provides plenty of extra storage space.

Bedrooms

With four good-sized bedrooms, there’s plenty of room for a large family or group. Bedroom 1 includes an ensuite and walk-in robe, plus a large picture window that lets in plenty of natural light. Another clever addition is the painted wood panelling feature walls, which draws the eye and adds to the coastal vibe.

Exterior

Our clients chose the Cubehaus façade for its modern appeal, and it looks right at home in the surrounds. The Weathertex Weathergroove cladding is a great low-maintenance choice and the inclusion of the horizontal spotted gum feature cladding complements it perfectly.

The optional merbau decking wraps around from the entrance to the large alfresco, which is positioned perfectly to maximise privacy. With easy access to the living zone through large sliding doors, it’s the ideal spot to entertain or enjoy a peaceful moment.

The Perfect Home for a Beach Getaway

With its spacious feel and thoughtful features, this home is the perfect blend of modern style and relaxed beach living. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat or a family getaway, this beautiful beach home ticks all the boxes.
