When building your new home, understandably, much of the design focus tends to centre around the living space. Often, when it comes to bedrooms, there is little thought beyond the practical aspects of the size, location and number that are including in the floor plan.

However, this can be a missed opportunity. Where you sleep and wake up each day has a massive impact on your mood and wellbeing. When your bedroom makes you smile, it’s a fantastic way to start and end your day.

We have helped our clients create some beautiful bedrooms in recent times, all with their own unique flavour. So, to give you some insight into what is possible, in our latest project highlights article we’re showing you inside 5 stunning modular bedrooms.

Buxton

There is so much to love about the Buxton project, located in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, especially the views. Every part of the home has been cleverly designed to take full advantage of them and the master bedroom is no exception!

With two full size picture windows, the outlook and abundance of natural light is a beautiful way to start the day. And the practical elements have not been forgotten, with a ceiling fan to keep things cool in summer and carpet and curtains to keep things cosy in winter.

Daylesford

An impressive home with an equally spectacular backdrop, the Daylesford project includes unique design features that provide a modern and luxurious look and feel.

Three of the four bedrooms are located upstairs and each have been designed to maximise the surrounding views. All have large picture windows, so you can wake up and feel like you’re sitting amongst the trees. The home features two master bedrooms, located at the opposite end of the house for privacy. Both feature an ensuite and walk-in robe, and the upstairs master includes a private balcony.

Frankston

The Frankston project is a unique customised home that includes four bedrooms that are strategically placed for privacy. Two of the bedrooms include an ensuite an walk-in robe, as well as sliding door access to the huge decking.

The highlight again here for the master is the spectacular views, made possible by the elevated position and framed by the large picture window and sliding door. The sense that you are above the trees creates a special feeling that you would never tire of.

Marysville

marysville-7

It’s true that good things come in small packages and the Marysville project is one such gem. Sitting on an elevated slope with views out across the mountains beyond, this compact home includes two beautifully designed bedrooms.

Situated at opposite ends of the house, each bedroom has built-in robes and direct access to the front decking. The raked ceiling also allows for highlight windows, which add valuable natural light and a sense of space, while the ceiling fan and carpet underfoot help keep the temperature comfortable year-round.

Metung

Set in an elevated position with water views stretching as far as you can see, our Metung project is a great example of coastal living at its best. Again, the surrounding landscape plays a huge role in the design with the master bedroom enjoying a gorgeous outlook that is easily accessed via sliding doors that lead out to the decking.

A smart and stylish feature of this bedroom is the freestanding divider wall that separates the bedroom from the walk-in robe, complete with feature lighting. Plus, the connecting ensuite features a freestanding bath ideally positioned to capture the views while you soak.

Rest and Wake Up in Style and Comfort

In all of these stunning bedroom designs, there are three common themes – style, comfort and connection to the outdoors. With a little care and planning you can capture these elements in your own bedroom design – even if you don’t have the million-dollar views. Bring in the natural light and add some key features that will help you to feel comfortable and you’ll appreciate your bedroom sanctuary every day.
