Building a new home with Anchor Homes is more than just about selecting your design—it’s about the efficiency and precision that comes with modular home construction and delivery.
Our modular homes offer a streamlined process from start to finish, and the delivery phase is one of the most exciting steps. Today, we’re giving you an inside look at three recent modular home deliveries, so you can see how we transport and install our homes with ease and expertise.
Modular Delivery Explained
Modular homes are built off-site in a controlled environment and then transported to your block of land for installation. This process ensures greater quality control, reduced on-site construction time, and less impact on your property. When it comes to delivery, we handle everything from preparing the modules for transport to installation on your site.
Every site offers its own possibilities, and whether your land is flat or sloping, rural or suburban, our team is equipped to deliver your home if site access is suitable. Key factors we need to consider include power lines, trees, steep slopes, narrow roads, and other site-specific elements to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery process.
For most deliveries, trucks handle the job efficiently, and when cranes are needed, they provide extra flexibility.
Now that you have a clearer picture of our transport and installation methods, let’s take a closer look at three of our recent modular home deliveries...
1. Warburton Project
Our first stop is Warburton, VIC, where we delivered a modified Aspendale design with a Modern Gable facade. This beautiful four-bedroom, two-bathroom home arrived in two modules on a flat site. Delivered via truck, the installation process was straightforward, with the modules fitted perfectly into place.
In fact, the delivery process itself caught the attention of locals, as the modules made their way through the main street of Warburton, turning heads as they passed.
One standout feature of this home is the modification of the rear windows, where the clients opted for additional windows along the back wall to maximise light and showcase the surrounding bushland views. It’s a stunning addition that elevates the home’s connection with the natural environment.
We can't wait to see the end result of this incredible project!
2. Kangaroo Ground Project
Next, we head to Kangaroo Ground, VIC, where we delivered a modified Portsea 14 design with a Cubehaus facade. This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home came in three modules and was installed on a sloping site with breathtaking views. Due to the slope and the presence of an existing dwelling on the property, a crane was required to position the modules.
The house was elevated on steel stumps, ensuring stability and a seamless integration with the landscape. Installing a home on steel stumps requires far less disturbance to the ground than excavations.
The crane installation was an impressive sight, as the modules were lifted over the existing dwelling. Once in place, the home’s elevated position allowed the owners to take full advantage of the panoramic views.
3. Hadfield Project
Our final stop is Hadfield, VIC, where we delivered a modified Hampton 19 design with a Cubehaus facade. This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home also includes a studio room and arrived in three modules, all delivered and installed by truck.
It was certainly an impressive sight which captured everyone's attention!
Hadfield is a suburban area just north of Melbourne’s CBD, and delivering modular homes in suburban settings requires extra care. With power lines and tight streets to navigate, our team planned the delivery meticulously.
Despite the challenges, the modules were delivered smoothly, and the installation was completed without a hitch.
Benefits of Modular Home Delivery
One of the biggest benefits of modular home construction is the efficiency of the delivery and installation process. Traditional builds can sometimes take years to complete, but with modular homes, much of the work is done off-site, drastically reducing the on-site timeline. Plus, the controlled environment of our factory ensures that weather delays and on-site disruptions are minimised.
At Anchor Homes, our delivery process is not just about transporting your home. It’s about precision, expertise, and ensuring every aspect of your home’s installation goes smoothly. Whether you have a suburban block or a rural site, we’ve delivered homes across all types of terrain with success.
