Rural-Modular-Homes-Projects-Anchor-HomesIf you’re ready to build your dream house in the country, modular homes are a great choice. The off-site construction methods make them a cost-effective option for rural builds, and the flexible designs mean there’s a floorplan and style to suit every need and budget.

Over the years, we’ve completed some stunning modular homes in the country, and today we’re sharing two of our favourites. Read on to find out how our clients created their dream rural homes – and be inspired to create your own.

The Tambo in Bowral, NSW

Tambo-Bowral-front-Anchor-HomesWhen our client was looking for a stylish home to build in Bowral, a large rural town situated in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, the Tambo was the perfect fit.

Tambo-Bowral-bedroom-Anchor-HomesBoasting three generous bedrooms, the design packs a lot into a medium home.

The open plan living area is cosy, and the addition of bi-fold doors opening out to the optional front deck add a sense of space and plenty of natural light. This makes it a wonderful place to relax with a book, entertain friends, or enjoy the views.

The Cubehaus façade is a definite highlight, and it works perfectly with the Tambo design. Our client also opted to include a carport, which blends seamlessly with the exterior of the home, and a garden shed to safely store all the outdoor essentials.

With a base price of just $204,250 (at the time of writing), the Tambo offers great value, and is a stunning home for any rural project.

The Suburban in Marysville, Victoria

Suburban-Marysville-front-Anchor-HomesWhen our client went looking for a modular design to build her dream accommodation retreat in Marysville, Victoria, the Suburban was a standout choice.

With plenty of natural light, and a distinctly modern, yet comfortable feel, the Suburban is well suited to the relaxed vibe of a holiday home.

The centrally located open-plan living area is compact yet feels spacious thanks to some smart design features.

The raked ceiling and high narrow windows add natural light and a sense of space, and the positioning of the kitchen along the back wall keeps the living area open.

And if the sun is shining, grab the morning paper and head out through the sliding doors onto the optional 1.8m front deck to enjoy the fresh air and beauty of the surrounds.

Both bedrooms also include built-in robes and sliding door access to the front deck.

Suburban-Marysville-bedroom-Anchor-HomesWith a base price of just $145,950 (at the time of writing), it’s easy to see why the Suburban is one of our most popular designs.

The compact size, smart use of space and affordable price make it a standout choice for a small residence or accommodation retreat in a rural setting.
